You must bring these documents to the Office of the London Representative at 29 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3ED.  Their telephone number is 020 7631 1920.  There, another document will be given to you and once you have this document, you must bring it to the Ministry Of Exterior in Nicosia for it to be approved before it is given to us.  This only applies to British Citizens.

If you are from another country besides England and your country has a TRNC Consulate, then the above procedure is the same.  However, if your country does NOT have a TRNC Consulate then you must get the documents proving you are single or divorced in your own country’s language together with an English translated version.  You must then bring both these documents to the Turkish Embassy in your own country in order to get them approved.  Both English and original documents MUST be approved.  Once you have come to our country you must go either to a solicitor or a notary and have your English document translated into Turkish.  With these documents you must then go to the Ministry of Exterior in our country in Nicosia in order for the Turkish translated document to be approved.  Only then can we accept all your documents.  Most importantly, the dates on these documents must not exceed 3 months.  All documents you bring to us have a 3 month time limit from the date of your wedding.  Any documents dated 3 months before your wedding date WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

All weddings must take place during our office working hours, during the weekdays and if the wedding is going to take place at another location, the registrar must be picked up and brought back to the office before working hours begin.  From May to September, the working hours are from 07.30 – 14.00 from Tuesday to Friday.  On Mondays, there is an afternoon shift from 15.30 – 18.00.  From October to April, the working hours are from 08.00 – 12.30 and from 15.50 – 17.00, Monday to Friday.

The date of the wedding must be booked at least 1 month before and 3 months at the most ahead of time.  We can not book dates longer than 3 months.  All documents must be given to us at least 10 days before the wedding date or the wedding cannot take place.
